Do you play tennis and hope to improve? One thing to consider is the grip on your racquet. Grip: The part of the racquet that you hold when playing. There is a huge importance of having a good grip so that you can play comfortably, control the game, and give your 100% on the court.
The grip of your racquet can become -- after years of use -- torn, or therein slippery due to sweat and dirt. It can prevent you from securing the racquet tightly and so damage your shots. It’s why your racquet grip should be replaced frequently if you are going to continue to play at your best.
Choosing the right grip size and material for your playing style is an essential part of changing your racquet grip. Grip sizes are numbered, from 1 to 5 — where 1 is for players with small hands and 5 is for players with large hands. Pick whatever grip size feels comfortable and tight so that you can hold the racquet without it slipping out of your palms.
Materials–Grip materials vary: you can go with synthetic grips, leather grips and overgrips. They are easy to look after and durable. Leather grips are more comfortable to hold but require more maintenance. Overgrips are thin grips that go over your existing grip for added comfort and to soak up moisture.
Wipe down your grip frequently with a moist cloth to remove dirt and sweat.
